CR Collaborative Arts
My Story

Catherine started CR Collaborative Arts

as therapy and to bring all of her arts endeavours into one place.

 Catherine’s Story

After Catherine broke her fingers, her doctors encouraged her to do activities to strengthen her fingers. Since Catherine is a professional musician,  playing flute was definitely part of the therapy, but crocheting and baking became very passionate crafts that were “quiet” and very relaxing.

The products were a bonus. Catherine has always enjoyed baking and creative arts, but it's so much fun to share her products with you.

Music has been the backbone of Catherine's life. She was an elementary Music teacher for 35 years and has taught flute since she was 15 years old.

Catherine Richardson (CR) Collaborative Arts brings all of her professions together in one place.

Music, Crocheting, Baking & Creative Arts

have helped keep a smile on my face and hopefully others will smile too.

Enchorus Children's Choir

Enchorus Children's Choir started in October 2012 by director,  Catherine Richardson, at the request of the Burlington Concert Band. The intent was to sing  for the concert and then disband, but the choir members wanted to  continue. This year, Enchorus celebrates 10 years of wonderful,  musical experiences and outstanding, long-lasting friendships.

The members of the choir are amazing young people in Grade 2 to 12, who come from the Burlington, Oakville, and Hamilton area. They are all  passionate about singing, and love to bring joy to the audiences who hear them.

Since 2012, they have performed in six performances with the Burlington Concert Band, and have shared concerts with the Halton Regional Police Chorus, Tempus Choral Society, Burlington Civic Chorale, Circle of Harmony, Burlington Welsh Male Chorus, and at many community events, including singing at a Marlies hockey game in Toronto. This season, Enchorus sang at the Aldershot Tree Lighting, the Candlelit Stroll held in downtown Burlington, and celebrated their 10th anniversary by singing with the Burlington Concert Band at a very exciting and energizing concert on December 2, 2022. Enchorus also collaborated with the Burlington Welsh Ladies Chorus for a fundraising concert in Hamilton for the Hôpital Albert Schweitzer in Haiti on December 11, 2022.  In 2023, Enchorus has done so many wonderful performances. It's nice to be back on stage peforming for our loyal supporters.

In 2024, we have many performances booked. Mark your calendars for March 24, 2024 at St. Matthew's on the Plains Anglican Church for the ORMTA (Ontario Registered Music Teachers' Association) Techers concert. It's always an honour to perform at this concert. You'll be treated to a concert of professional musicians sharing their talents. Proceeds of the concert go to the scholarship fund of the ORTMA organization. https://hhormta.org/

If you know anyone who loves to sing and is in Grade 2

up to the end of high school,

we'd be happy to chat with you about joining Enchorus.
